Four killed after Nairobi-bound bus collides with truck in Koru

At least four people died after the bus they were travelling in collided head-on with a truck at Kambi Awendo in Koru, Kisumu County on Monday night.

Nyaugenya bus was travelling from Lwanda Kotieno in Siaya County to Nairobi. Several other injured passengers were rushed to various hospitals including St Vincent De Pauls, Koru Mission and Muhuroni Sub-county.  The accident happened at around 11:30pm. 

Police at the scene were forced to fire several canisters of tear gas to disperse looting villagers.
