In photos: King Charles' past trips to Kenya

- King Charles visited Kenya as a pronce in 1971, then again in 1977, 1978 and 1987.
As King Charles III and Queen Camilla begin a state visit to Kenya, this is a good time as any to look at his past visits to the country while he was still a prince.
Some of the earliest photos of his visits to Kenya come from 1971. He visited Kenya while still a Prince between February 6 and 20 that year. He was accompanied by his sister Princess Anne.
He met various leaders including President Jomo Kenyatta.

During their two-week tour of Kenya, the royals had various official engagements, but also took time off to tour the Maasai Mara.
