The National Police Service has ordered the arrest of Anti Stock Theft Unit officer Samuel Muchoki, alias Samidoh, for deserting duty in Gilgil, Nakuru County, since May 27, 2025.

In a police signal, a Kennedy Barasa on behalf of the unit's Commander, police say the popular Mugithi musician was granted off but has not returned to work.

"Since then, he has not been seen, and his whereabouts remain unknown. Efforts to trace him have been futile,” the signal reads.

Mr Barasa explained that the popular musician has been absent from duty for at least 10 days, which is why he is being declared a deserter.

He also directed the National Police Service (NPS) pay section to stop Samidoh’s salary with immediate effect.

The police boss in Gatumbiro, Samidoh’s home area in Nyandarua County, has also been ordered to visit his residence and investigate his whereabouts.
