New bosses elected for media team

What you need to know:
- Standard Group CEO Sam Shollei was elected chairman while Mr Granton Samboja became the vice-chairman in elections held during the association’s annual general meeting yesterday.
- With Mr Gitahi in the executive committee are Mr Joshua Chepkwony, Mr S.K. Macharia, Mr Patrick Quarcoo and Mr Leo Slingerland.
The Media Owners Association has elected new officials with Nation Media Group CEO Linus Gitahi joining the executive committee.
Standard Group CEO Sam Shollei was elected chairman while Mr Granton Samboja became the vice-chairman in elections held during the association’s annual general meeting yesterday.
Other new office bearers are Mr Wachira Waruru (treasurer). He will be assisted by Mr Julius Lamaon.
Mr Cyrus Kamau is the organising secretary, Mr Tom Mshindi, deputy secretary, and Mr Hannington Gaya secretary.
With Mr Gitahi in the executive committee are Mr Joshua Chepkwony, Mr S.K. Macharia, Mr Patrick Quarcoo and Mr Leo Slingerland.
Outgoing MOA chairman Kiprono Kittony said the media would continue to play their role of being the conscience of the society.
