Frustrated taxpayer • Keen to register and pay tax on his rental property, David Ngugi is frustrated by the lack of support from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA). He poses: “Is the taxman really serious as we can’t get online services? This is so and yet the government needs revenue.” His KRA Personal Identification Number is A001568532Z and he can be reached through [email protected].

Service denied • The Social Health Insurance Fund (SHIF) rollout has been problematic, and Josiah Ngigi is quite angry. Says he: “Last November, I paid Sh6,000 via e-Citizen as a whole year’s monthly SHIF contributions. Unfortunately, this has not been reflected in my account and I’ve been denied services in hospitals. Over to you, Health CS Aden Duale!” His contact is [email protected].

Hot air • As heavy rains continue to pour around the country, Evans Macharia Mwangi is wondering what became of the government’s much-hyped plan to plant 15 billion trees. “The politicians and high-ranking government officials even planted trees in various places. Can the country really hit that target or was it just political hot air?” His email address is [email protected].

Mourning Pope • Following Pope Francis’s death on Easter Monday, Dr Kennedy Miyoro Mochabo is disappointed that the government did not order flags to fly at half-mast in his honour as the United States and other countries did. “This should have been the case as the Pope visited Kenya twice and also considering the many Catholic faithful here.” His contact is [email protected].

Marathon star • Watching the London Marathon on Sunday, Gitonga Kathurima says he was very impressed by the winner, new Kenyan star Sebastian Sawe. “The greatest marathoner runner of all times, Eliud Kipchoge, also ran a very good race and finished sixth. However, at 40, he should now call it a day and leave the stage for the younger generation.” His contact is [email protected].

Have a spectacular day, won’t you!
